Owning Our Essence

Listen ladies...
Your sexuality is yours.
It is noooo body else's.
You exploring it's essence,
Discovering how to use it best and...
Decorating it up with material things,
Realising it is finally safe to dance our natures dance again...
And this is as much a message for the men too.
Sure we all like to see how much attention you can get for you,
But the distortions creep in and we learn we can manipulate with this with this power....
We seek their validation for our skin but spit venom when they want to get in.
How confusing...
For this power is not something we have been shown to be friend.
Imagine if our boys new the sacredness of the womb,
and how to hold space for that to birth through..
Imagine if our girls were shown how to own their sexuality!?
How to honour themselves and their inner temples fully,
That to be in her sensuality and activated in her body meant her boundaries demanded respect,
Even the slimiest of critters wouldn't know how to cross this net.
You see we ladies we have a responsibility,
Be in your sexuality but own it fully.
And if a critter still manages to get in, take the opportunity to speak your truth, in kindness and compassion but with a firm hand,
Learn to speak up for you.
So go for it.. in dressing it up in material things...
But do it for you, not for the attention of them.
Know that this force is a fire to be reckoned with,
Why do you think they tied us up and burnt us for expressing it,
But our sisters pain will not be in vain,
Because they set an example for all of us and we are now ready to reclaim!
